Just to let you know, I have finished putting in all the photos of the yearbook, just about every page! There are a few sophomore photos missing and some wording (due to space) and the Junior and Sophomore class (sorry), so for any of you who lost or had their 1960 yearbook damaged, now all you have to do is look in the photo section and you can find it all.
As I think I have mentioned before, all the 50th Reunion photos are also in, as well as lots of photos from Grade School, Junior High School and High School and even some from after High School. Those I will be adding now and then, so continue to check out that section also.
Let me know what you think, and as always, let me know if I can improve on anything - I will do my best.

Just to let everyone know, I have all the photos in from our 50th reunion. That's all the events on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. If anyone has photos they would like to see, please send them to me via email (hi-resoultion) and I will add them.
I also am currently working on adding photos for Grade School, Jr. High, High School and after High School. So, keep looking, as that will take some time.

The 50th Reunion is over and done and what a huge success it was. There were 18 of you who played golf on Friday morning, then about 145 of you who showed up on Friday night at The Elgin Public House (the old Don's on the Hill) on Chicago Street and we had about 37 who made the 4 hour bus trip around Elgin, to the new Elgin High School where we saw the many things the Class of 60 has donated over the years, the Elgin Historical Society, Walton Island, the new Civic Centre and our nationally (1 of 5 in the country) awarded Gail Borden Library. The there were some 290 of you (177 classmates) who made the actual reunion dinner at the Grand Victoria Casino and finally about 85 of you who made the Sunday brunch at the Country Club. WHAT A WONDERFUL WEEKEND!
I am still in the process of working on the photos from that weekend, so keep checking and they should be up in no time.
Let me know your thoughts and memories/comments about the weekend for my next Panthereport. Chan

I have just added a new section in the "Photos" entitled Newer Photos where I will be able to add photos since our graduation. The only one at present is from Paul Gustafson, up in Minnesota, who put together a mini reunion on January 9th, 2010. Kudos to Paul, maybe this will entice others out there to do the same thing, like in the Phoenix and Denver areas to name just two. If anyone is interested, let me know and I'll send you the list of who lives in your area. Check out the photos section please.
Also, you should have received by now, or will shortly, our first mailing concerning our 50th reunion. Get those forms back A.S.A.P. Chan

I hope you have been checking out the photo section of the Web Site. I just added 27 more photos from the Organization section of the yearbook. Take a look and let me know what you think about all of this. Chan

Thursday, September 29, 2009. I've been away for quite some time, but I am back with some new photos. Finally finished the Senior Photos section, so any of you who don't have a yearbook, can now look up all those classmates you can't remember or have no idea whom I'm talking about in my emails. Also a few more of assemblies, etc. in the ACTIVITIES section, which I am working on.
I also have added all the photos I took at our last (our 3rd) picnic held last September at the Elks Club here in Elgin. Not as many attendees, but for the 60 plus who did come, I think they all had a great time. Sandy "Hinch" Dorwaldt has promised to drop off more photos to me and as soon as she does I will try to get them added.
One major thing to put on your next years calendar is our 50th Reunion. It will be held August 13, 14 and 15, here in Elgin. The Friday night get-together will be held at the Elgin Public House (the old Don's on the Hill on Chicago Street right across from the Y.W.C.A), most likely a bus tour to show you how our town has grown to around 100,000 people, the reunion Saturday night at the Riverboat and then a brunch at the Elgin Country Club on Sunday morning. PLEASE MARK YOUR CALENDARS! There will be a mailing of course coming fairly soon, (by the end of the year - I hope) with more information.
That's all for now, take care everyone. Chan

Welcome to our web site, finally up and running, but still a work in progress. This will obviously take some time to get finished as I have a lot of work to do on it, downloading photos. We don't have a class list just yet, or a way to email each other, but we are working on it. I would eventually like to get the yearbook downloaded into it, but scanning that many pages will certainly take some time.
